At FBCSGI, we believe discipleship to be one of the pillars of the church. Jesus said, "Go and make disciples..." We dedicate this time to teaching on a practical level of how one is to honor Christ in daily life, how to reflect His light in our dark world, and how to live each day "denying ourselves and taking up our cross to follow Him." We encourage each other in prayer and in personal study of God's Word.
Our services at FBCSGI, center around reading the Word of God together, praising and lifting the Lord high in singing together, praying together, and being instructed by the Word of God.
We grow best in community. At FBCSGI we believe that the fellowship we enjoy on Sunday morning should CONTINUE! So we invite EVERYONE to come join us for lunch after the service each week, so that we can "spur one another on to love and to good works." It's a great time to ask questions or generate discussion about the morning sermon or share together what God is teaching you, which will encourage your brother or sister's faith.
We believe in prayer! We believe that it is a gift from God and that it is effective! So, every Wednesday evening, we gather together for some music, a brief lesson from God's Word, and then we PRAY.
